In 2019, an enthusiastic group of youth and adults from Mapleton Church participated in a mission trip to Cuba working with orphanages in Mantanzas, Cuba. This mission trip was in partnership with the Canadian charity, Friends to Cuba (www.friendstocuba.com), which has had a presence there for many years.
With plans to have a second mission trip to Cuba in May 2020, earlier in the year, our friends at the Aylmer Baptist Church generously let us use their facilities for a Spaghetti Dinner. Volunteers served over 200 meals; mostly dine in but also take out. The dinner was held in conjunction with a silent auction. Who knew we could raise $3000.00 for our mission trip in one night?
